Fiorina Kyritsi, MD

Fiorina Kyritsi, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and practices Internal Medicine. Prior to becoming the Medical Director at Barclays Health Centers, Dr. Kyritsi worked as a primary care provider for the Mount Sinai Doctors in Queens, and was the site director for the Ambulatory Care-Geriatrics Medical Student Clerkship.
A native of Volos, Greece, Dr. Kyritsi received her medical degree from the University of Thessaly. She was valedictorian of her medical school class and went on to do a year of research at the university’s pediatric laboratory. When her mother was diagnosed with a heart condition and sought treatment in the United States, Dr. Kyritsi was impressed by the state-of-the-art medical practice, professionalism and compassion of the doctors she encountered here. Inspired to apply for medical residency in the U.S., she spent a year doing cardiac research at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C. before completing a residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University (Washington D.C.) and trained in Hematology and Oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (Washington D.C.).
Dr. Kyritsi treats patients with a wide range of medical conditions, providing personalized primary care services with an emphasis on preventative medicine and general wellness. In addition to providing supportive care, Dr. Kyritsi also promotes cancer survivorship by helping patients adjust to life after treatment and coordinating follow-up medical care. She values forming long-term relationships with patients and helping them to live longer and healthier lives.
Rubylene Welle, FNP-C, MSN

Rubylene Welle is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She focuses on providing a patient-centered experience to all client members. Rubylene is well versed in health and wellness education, disease prevention, women’s health, travel medicine, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in children and adults. Rubylene has a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science and completed Drexel University’s Accelerated BSN program. She earned her Master’s degree of Nursing from Monmouth University and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Thai International Nursing Honor Society. Rubylene is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and staying fit.
Michael Felcone, PA
Primary Care Provider

Michael Felcone is a supervising physician assistant at the Barclays Health Center. Upon completing his medical training at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Michael moved to New York to practice primary care for adults. As the former Chief Physician Assistant of Mount Sinai’s Center for Post-COVID Care (the first of its kind in the nation) coupled with time spent working alongside Mount Sinai’s Chief of Ambulatory Care and Chief of Geriatric Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Michael has a demonstrated experience in the fields of ambulatory, endocrinology, geriatric, and sleep medicine.
Prior to practicing medicine, Michael was a professor of music at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. He received his musical training in both theory and piano performance at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Passionate about the intersections between medical and musical arts, Michael fervently believes the arts are the most underused form of medical therapy.
In his free time, Michael—an inveterate New Yorker—takes advantage of the city’s cultural events, especially the museums, theater, and musical offerings.
Sandra Oxley, MPA

Sandra Oxley is a healthcare administrator with over 10 years of experience in both private practice and major academic medical centers. She holds a BA in Sociology, and a MPA in Healthcare Administration. Her background includes leading high-performance teams to foster a culture of excellence in patient care. Sandra possesses vast experience in clinical operations, patient-centered care, process optimization, and strategic planning to effectuate efficient and lean workflows.
Sandra joined Mount Sinai in October of 2020. Her goal is to have the administrative team work alongside the clinical team to help improve the general wellbeing of patients through personalized and compassion care. Sandra has a passion for patient care, and seeks to use that to transform how healthcare is delivered.
When not working, Sandra loves to spend time with her family, read/watch romantic comedies, and learn new recipes.

Janet is a Certified Medical Assistant, and has been with Mount Sinai for 3 years. Prior to joining our team, Janet worked at Mount Sinai Queens in a multi-speciality setting where she assisted different providers in providing excellent care to patients throughout the community. Janet loves to help people, and share her knowledge with others. Being in the medical field is a great way to accomplish this, as it brings her joy and warms her heart to help patients that are in need.
In her free time, Janet enjoys going on long walks with her two fur babies.

Nicolette Galindo

Nicolette is a certified medical assistant and has been with the Mount Sinai family for 3 years. She has a background in Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Dermatology and Gynecology. She is passionate about patient care and making every visit personal and comfortable for each patient. Her slogan is “we are here to help you, not hurt you”.
On weekends Nicolette enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with friends and family.
Sherry Octavia Smith

Sherry Octavia Smith has been a medical assistant for over 15 years. She worked at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for 10 years prior to coming to Mount Sinai. She has experience in a wide range of specialities, however her passion is internal and cardiac care. Over the years, Sherry was given an opportunity to develop her laboratory and phlebotomy skills and her high competence led to her training other employees in these areas. Raised in a family of healthcare professionals, caring for others is innate. Being in the medical field is simply a dream come true; she genuinely enjoys helping people. In her free time, she works in her community and local church. Singing, cooking, and enjoying quality family-time are her favorites. And catching a boxing match is a treat!
Annette Bryan
Medical Assistant

Annette has been a Certified Medical Assistant since 2001 and has certifications in Phlebotomy, EKG, and Basic Life Support. Prior to coming to Mount Sinai Hospital, she held roles at Princeton University Student Health Center and Seton Hall University where she utilized her education, experience, and skills. Outside of work, Annette is an adventurist with a love for kickboxing, running, hiking, outdoor summer/winter activities, as well as spending time with family. She believes in having a balanced lifestyle for the body, mind, and spirit, and thinks it’s important to motivate patients to live an active lifestyle while leading by example.
